Epson's video board pumps composite inputs to the Moverio BT-100 headset (video)

Bummed that your $700 Moverio BT-100 headset doesn't have video input? Well, Epson's here to tease you with a board that plugs into the trackpad and accepts any composite video source. Despite best attempts to hide the identity of hardware it's being tested with and give the lawyers a weekend off, it's shown to receive feeds from a PS3, an iPad and a 360 with Kinect. Check out the honk-filled video of all the fun you're not having, and contact Epson if you've got an interesting idea for using the board, because they might just give you one. How about -- "I want to play games on it?" That sounds like a pretty good reason to us.

Apple exec Eddy Cue joins Ferrari board of directors, raises hopes for truly high-tech exotic cars

Ferrari loves to extol the advances found in its drivetrains, but the unspoken rule is that its interior technology leaves something to be desired; unless you're thinking of a 458's manettino, even a less expensive car like the Tesla Model S is virtually in another league. The automaker may be narrowing that gap by putting Apple online lead Eddy Cue on the Ferrari board of directors. Without giving too much away, Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo points to Cue's experience with the "dynamic, innovative world of the internet" as the motivation -- as good a sign as any that the Maranello team wants to take connected cars seriously. Whenever the Apple Senior VP's experience comes into full effect, we may see one of the few supercar lineups whose cabins are as advanced as the engines. Just don't look for any tight integration with Ferrari-badged Acer gear in the near future.

REMAINS ON SNEI BOARD OF DIRECTORS AS EXTERNAL DIRECTOR
Sony Corporation Group Executive Andrew House Assumes Responsibilities

(Tokyo, November 8, 2012) - Sony Corporation today announced that Tim Schaaff, President of Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI) and Group Executive of Sony Corporation, will retire as of December 31, 2012. Schaaff will remain on the SNEI board of directors as an external director.

Effective January 1, 2013, Group Executive of Sony Corporation Andrew House will assume responsibilities for SNEI during the transition, in addition to his current role as President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.(SCEI). The existing SNEI executive staff will manage daily operations.

Tim Schaaff joined Sony Corporation of America in December 2005 and has contributed greatly towards Sony's vision to create a network business that unifies Sony's network entertainment experience across all of its hardware products.

"Tim has been a strong leader within Sony who truly embodied the 'One Sony' spirit by successfully leading corporate-wide initiatives across business units since he joined," said Kazuo Hirai, President and CEO, Sony Corporation. "I thank Tim for his passion and innumerable contributions to the company."
